The MSB is an electronic clearinghouse of strategies designed to connect educational data systems, promote and support best practices, and provide information regarding the implementation of strategies in use to support Michigan’s education system.
For the purposes of the MiStrategyBank a strategy is defined as:
An intentional effort that a student, teacher, school, or district is operationalizing to improve scale, capacity, fidelity, and/or outcomes, by implementing: a practice, a process, a program, a resource, a system, an activity, an initiative, an instructional strategy…
Roles in the MiStrategyBank
Statewide Curator: Is a person from a statewide organization that is able to access the MSB to add global strategies. Global strategies are able to be used by anyone/district in the MSB. (Those that believe they should be a curator can email Tom Johnson for access)
Admin: The district Admin is able to add other educators in their district to access the MiStrategyBank. They can add other Admins, Maintainers, or Viewers. Admins cannot create strategies, they must gain an additional role of Strategy Maintainer.
Strategy Maintainer: A maintainer is able to create, edit, and add strategies to their district's MSB account.
Strategy Viewer: Viewers can simply log in and view strategies in their district's MSB account.
